5월 21, 2024, Nimis Driftwood Sculpture
A very popular hiking destination, many hikers try to go straight down through the wooden structure at the top. But it is easier to go down the rocks right next to it.

Anyone who hikes around the headland on Kullaleden (70 km, part of Skåneleden SL 5) will have completed about half of the way past the lighthouse. Despite everyone's rights, wild camping is not permitted here as it is a nature reserve. At the large parking lot there is a windbreak and a small tent area for multi-day hikers to stay overnight. Unfortunately, the tent meadow is quite sloping and there is a lot going on in and around the parking lot, especially on weekends. There are much quieter overnight accommodations with windbreaks, toilets etc. at Himmelstorp, for example.

Not entirely safe tour - many stones and roots, in the artwork itself loose wooden slats and protruding nails - but if you are careful and watch out for the weather - I would not risk it in slippery or wet conditions - you will experience a special place.

A bike tour through the nature reserve is highly recommended. Lots of nice paths for gravel fans or across the street to the lighthouse. There you will be rewarded with a wonderful view.

Take a walk down behind the light house out on the northernmost tip and watch two seas meet, some interesting currents can be seen, and with luck you might see a Porpoise, if there is a bunch of seagulls hovering there surely is a Porpoise under them!

An adventurous path over the rocks brings you to the cave. Maybe you can find a piece of silver?

9월 28, 2019, Stora Hults Fälad Nature Reserve
At the base of Stora Hult lies a cultural and ancient landscape, a remnant of the once widespread coastal pastures of Skåne's Bjäre Peninsula, likely grazed for millennia. This reserve offers a glimpse into the past, as much of Sweden's open pastureland vanished during the 20th century due to afforestation and cultivation. Stora Hult's field, though small, showcases the sandy, dry soil and old dunes characteristic of the area. While shrubs exist, grasses dominate, supporting hardy plants like yellow fat buds, trifles, and thyme.

9월 17, 2019, Nimis Driftwood Sculpture
Nimis is a work of art near Arild am Kullaberg. Nimis, the temporarily very controversial work by the artist Lars Vilks, is hidden on the north side of the Kullaberg near Arild, about 12 kilometers north of Höganäs. Nimis (abundance) is a labyrinth of various towers, mostly made of driftwood, at the foot of the cliffs. In the meantime, the constructions have reached a total weight of 75 tons. The facility, which was started by Lars Vilks in 1980, was the subject of a yearlong legal battle between the local building authority and the artist. The authorities quickly declared the work of art a building for which no building permit had been granted in the nature reserve. In the course of the dispute, Vilks proclaimed the area around Nimis in 1996 in protest of the Micronation of Ladonia. However, the authorities finally did not implement the approval of the demolition of the plant, which was ultimately obtained by court. Nimis has now become a tourist attraction and can only be reached on foot via a small, marked path from Heimathof Himmelstorp. The path leads through relatively steep and rough terrain, so sturdy shoes and good physical condition are required. https://www.guidebook-sweden.com/de/reisefuehrer/reiseziel/nimis-kunstwerk-nahe-arild-am-kullaberg

In Kullaberg caves have traces of the Stone Age (Upper Palaeolithic) discovered and below the lighthouse, a figure from the Bronze Age. The pebble beaches and grottoes were used by fishermen and smugglers. The silver grotto at the foot of the lighthouse is a remnant of mining, all other caves are of natural origin. https://kullaleden.se/de/wanderweg/molle-arild/

9월 17, 2019, Kullens Fyr Lighthouse
Kullens Fyr is the brightest lighthouse in Scandinavia and stands 78.5 meters above sea level at the very tip of the Kullaberg Nature Reserve near Mölle. Beacons have been operating at the northern entrance to the Öresund, one of the busiest waterways in the world, for over 1,000 years. The current lighthouse was designed in 1898 by the architect Magnus Dahlander from Dalarna. The 15-meter-high Kullens Fyr is made of gneiss and bricks and was put into operation in 1900. The three large lenses of the light apparatus rotate four times a minute and emit three light signals per revolution. The light signals can be seen from 50 kilometers away. The lens apparatus must also rotate during the day (unlit), otherwise there is a risk that the lenses will act like large magnifying glasses and the incoming sunlight will cause fires. https://www.guidebook-sweden.com/de/reisefuehrer/reiseziel/kullens-fyr-leuchtturm-auf-dem-kullaberg

9월 15, 2019, Kullaberg Nature Reserve
Kullarberg's nature reserve, one of the most beautiful natural areas in Scandinavia and awarded three stars by the Michelin Guide, is located at the tip of the Kullen peninsula, near the seaside resort of Mölle. Rushing forests, steep cliffs, mysterious rock caves and kilometers of views over the Kattegatt attract thousands of visitors every year to the Kullaberg. The extraordinary nature in the Kullarberg nature reserve invites you to hikes, botanical rambles and ornithological observations, climbing, diving and swimming on the cliffs. Also popular are the guided tours through the caves at the foot of the mountain. In the Naturum Kullaberg, the on-site visitor center, you can learn interesting facts about the geology, flora and fauna as well as cultural history of the nature reserve. At the top of the Kullaberg is also Kullens Fyr, the brightest lighthouse in Scandinavia. For more than 1000 years, a beacon has been operated here. The current lighthouse was commissioned in 1900 and its light signals can still be seen 50 kilometers away. A special attraction is Nimis, which is tucked away on the north coast of Kullaberg by artist Lars Vilks. This is a labyrinth of various towers built mainly of driftwood at the foot of the cliff. Nimis can only be reached on foot via a steep path from Heimathof Himmelstorp. The most famous of the numerous rocky bathing areas at the top of the peninsula is Ransvik. In 1921, the coffee house, still in operation today, was opened there, serving coffee and pastries to the bathers. https://www.guidebook-sweden.com/de/reisefuehrer/reiseziel/kullabergs-naturreservat-naturschutzgebiet-bei-moelle

9월 7, 2019, Stora Hults Fälad Nature Reserve
At the foothills of Stora Hult, one expects a cultural and ancient landscape, which was once widespread on the coast of Skåne. The coastal areas of the Bjäre Peninsula have probably been grazed for thousands of years and the reserve is a remnant of what was once a vast pastoral landscape in the area. During the 20th century, much of the country's open pastures disappeared. Some were planted with spruce and pine, others were abandoned and re-cultivated. The field of Stora Hult is not a large reserve, but it can still give an impression of how much of the coast of Scanien looked like a few hundred years ago. In the Stora Hults field, the soil is mostly sandy and dry. The driest parts of the reserve are old sand dunes. On the field you will find a shrubby layer of shrubs, but overall it is grass that dominates the reserve. On the dry fields grow hardy plants like yellow fat buds, trifles and thyme. https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=de&sl=sv&u=https://www.lansstyrelsen.se/skane/besok-och-upptack/naturreservat/bastad/stora-hults-falad.html&prev=search
