The Obelisk of Lanthöjden, located on the northern shore of Lake Roxen near Linköping, is a quiet yet symbolic landmark tied to the history of the Göta Canal. Today, surrounded by forest and overlooking the lake, the obelisk stands as both a historical marker and a hidden gem, reminding visitors of the ingenuity and determination that shaped one of the country’s greatest engineering feats.

Small beech forest on the shore of Lake Vänern. Easy to walk paths, sometimes a bit rocky with a few wobbly wooden walkways and bridges. As always, a picture-book setting and, depending on the time of day and year, absolute peace and quiet.

Stora Trehörningen is a lake in Laxå municipality in Västergötland. The lake is 29 meters deep, has an area of 1.59 square kilometers and is 153.1 meters above sea level. During trial fishing, perch, pike and roach have been caught in the lake.
