I rode the trail today, at least part of it. There are several large trees lying across it, and climbing over them isn't fun. Maybe the forestry department will take notice and clear the trail.

As part of the "City Center on the River" project, the existing congress bridge was replaced by a new one by the state capital of Saarbrücken between August 2014 and September 2015. The congress bridge, which consists of two substructures, carries a pedestrian and cycle path over the "Lower Berlin Promenade" as well as an access road to the congress hall and connects the Bürgerpark with the Berlin Promenade in Saarbrücken. The replacement new building was made of two single-span bridges at an angle to each other, consisting of two assembled truss trough bridges, each with a cantilevered end, in a lightweight construction made of seawater-resistant aluminum, which lie next to each other in a Mikado shape. The two abutments were made of reinforced concrete and the central support was made as an all-steel construction. The individual superstructures were manufactured in a workshop, brought to the site in their entirety and then lifted into their final position with a mobile crane. Nice flowing trail. Curvy with waves at the top, quite densely overgrown in the middle. The lower section is steep and at the end there is a small step with roots to the main path.

There's a lot to discover in Saarbrücken

No official trail from the trail network, at least I didn't see a sign. The path also seemed rather unkempt. Nothing spectacular, you can also leave it out!
