The parking lot is large and subject to payment. The surrounding area offers many opportunities to climb various peaks, which are definitely worth it.

An absolutely fantastic place. You have to earn it a little, but it's worth it! Great panoramic view of the mountains and Lake Constance. Two wooden huts invite you to take a rest, and everything is available for a barbecue. If you have a sleeping mat and sleeping bag with you, you could also spend the night here. A few meters further on is the Naturfreundehaus, which welcomes guests at the weekend.

Directions The Alploch card tour begins with the ride up the Karren. From there, a shady path leads along the Staufensee to the Ebensand power station, a hydroelectric power station that is over 100 years old and is still in operation today. The walking time to get there is around 1 hour 15 minutes. At the power station, you can fortify yourself at the snack station or enjoy the bread rolls you have brought with you on the stones on the shore.

The innkeepers (Mr. and Mrs. Marinelli) were really helpful and very friendly. We're in our well-deserved retirement and have handed over the hut to a very nice witch. Update January 3, 2024 There is now a new landlady at the Emser Hütte. We received a very friendly welcome and the food was very tasty. In any case, there is an increased risk of a repeat visit on another visit soon
