Several downhill mountain bike trails start at the top of the chairlifts. Choose from Cachette, Easy Rider, Legend, and Rock N'Arolles. By returning to Arc 1600 via the chairlift, you can even link up different trails.

The road climbs modestly for another ~500 m after the sign.

The trail that links the larger track at Les Bouchets with the track at Perrier is great fun to run. It's undulating and twisty, with some big steps and sections of boardwalk. It can be wet and slippery in places, so definitely one to run in grippy trail shoes. Be aware this is a shared user trail that's popular with mountain bikes, so keep an eye out as you go.

The Col du Pré overlooks the Arêches-Beaufort valley to one side and Lac du Roselend and Mont Blanc to the other. The tough climb up the winding trail to the top is rewarded with outstanding views ; there's also a bench and water fountain here. There are several excellent trail running routes starting from the col, including the stunning ridgeline between Roch Parstire and Mont Coin.

Driving over the du Pre is a wonderful alternative way to get to Lac du Roseland! Impressive landscape!

Be careful, the road that goes up to the Col du Pré that goes up from Arêches is not wide!
