The castle of Palagret or Mabarrera is in the middle of the Palagret valley, at the top of a small hill, 178 m high, in the northernmost foothills of the Gavarres massif to the south-east of the Celrà center and to the south- west of Juià. Strategically located to control the Roman-era road that allowed access to Girona from the Baix Empordà through the Gavarres. Important medieval vestiges of the licorella walls of a rectangular construction as well as pre-Romanesque elements are preserved from the castle. The preserved remains could be dated to the 10th and 11th centuries,[1] and its last occupants left the premises between the end of the 15th century and the beginning of the 16th.[2] It is a building in Celrà (Gironès) declared a cultural asset of national interest.

Lake Banyoles is the largest non-coastal pond, and whose water springs naturally, in Catalonia. The lake is a classic cycling destination in Girona, since one of the province's greenways reaches the town of Banyoles, and it also has a bike lane that allows you to go around the lake.

The Estunes area is an area of great natural value and this is revealed by its declaration as a geotope, an area of geological interest, and its inclusion in the PEIM. It is one of the most particular corners of the municipality of Porqueres: the travertine cracks and crevices; oaks and spongy oaks; the beautiful legend of the Goges, the sharp silence and the cool shade, the climbing ivy and the discreet songs of the birds invite you to a quiet walk full of the peace of the place. The goges, alogas or women of water, according to the legends, had it as their favorite place and would revel there or row there all night. They say that on calm nights someone can still hear their songs and, from afar, you can see the glow of their parties.
