The Trafalgar Lighthouse was built in 1860 on the remains of a Roman lighthouse. It stands on a narrow sandbar that juts far out into the Atlantic Ocean. The site is famous for the Battle of Trafalgar (1805), in which the British fleet under Admiral Nelson defeated the Spanish-French alliance.

This 39 meter lighthouse is located in the capital of Cádiz and is the second oldest in Spain. It is inside the enclosure of a military fortress.

The trail begins in the Caños de Meca, next to the Las Breñas restaurant. This route takes us from Caños de Meca to Yerbabuena beach.
