The Monument to the Mother of the Emigrant, popularly known as La Lloca del Rinconín or La Muyerona, is an emblematic sculpture located on the seafront of Gijón, Asturias. It was created by sculptor Ramón Muriedas and inaugurated on September 18, 1970.

The nearby sandy beach completes the experience of seeing dinosaur tracks.

It's not worth going much further. We tried to go around the mountain. The path was also marked. The foresters had cleared the entire eucalyptus forest further up and left the path in an impassable condition. Terrible.

In the Sueve there are two reference peaks: Pienzu, the highest, most famous and most traveled, and Miruenu, an almost twin peak, much less accessible, and logically almost deserted, but in my opinion much more beautiful and with the same or better views than from the Pienzu. EYE to the area marked as full of ticks.
