The route leads along the Arga to Pamplona and then on to Puente la Reina. In some places it is idyllic and accessible even for cyclists. The shade is a blessing...

Perhaps the most important bridge in Pamplona since it is the main entrance to the city and it was built on the bed of the Arga river in the 11th century. Today it is part of the Camino de Santiago and is a characteristic point in it.

Beautiful place on the bed of the Arga river at its confluence with the Urbi river. On one side of it there is a recreational area that is usually a very crowded place in the summer months to take a refreshing bath and the jump from the dam is a natural slide that gives it a touch of entertainment.

Also known as "balcony of the vultures" its name is due to the fact that from this colorful panoramic point it is possible to see these birds. The arrival trail runs through a splendid natural landscape created by the erosion of the Larraun River. From the viewpoint you will have some beautiful postcards towards the Sakana corridor and the Irurtzun valley to the city of Pamplona/Iruña.

This is the most important bridge of the four medieval ones that cross the Arga as it passes through Pamplona. It was built in the twelfth century and later renovated in the nineteenth century. It consists of five large slightly pointed arches, triangular tajamares and semicircular discharge arches on the supports. It is related to that of Puente la Reina. A transept, probably built in the sixteenth century, points the traveler at one end of the bridge to the entrance of the Camino de Santiago to the city. In it you can see the image of the Jacobean saint. After crossing this Romanesque bridge, the pilgrim arrives at the Tejería Park and from there to the walls of Pamplona, under the old city of Navarrería, which is accessed by the Portal de Francia. https://www.pamplona.es/turismo/puente-de-la-magdalena#:~:text=Este%20es%20el%20puente%20m%C3%A1s,medio%20punto%20en%20los%20apoyos.

The Arga is Pamplona's river, and its course along the capital has grown into a varied natural promenade of about 16 kilometers. But this is only a small part of the Comarca River Park, which runs parallel to the rivers Arga, Ultzama and Elorz, passing 50 kilometers from Sorauren and Irotz to Ibero. Its million square meters make it the region's first and large green lung. https://www.visitnavarra.es/es/-/parque-fluvial-arga

“Each of these crosses can tell its own story and what prompted people to erect “their” cross at this point. (...) These wayside crosses were erected as visible signs and attract the attention of many people. The cross is a symbol of life. It stands as a sign of our Christian hope and wants to direct our gaze to Jesus Christ, who has overcome death (...). The cross is part of our life as it was in the life of Jesus. So I wish that many people … visit the crosses, whether as places of stillness and breathing space before God, whether as places for community gatherings, prayer and praise to God.” (Text source: Dean Rainald M. Ollig in: "Crossroads... small sacred monuments as a sign of popular piety")
