3월 17, 2025, Puig de Galatzó Summit
As Mallorca's southernmost 1,000-meter peak, the Puig de Galatzó (1,027 meters) marks the beginning of the Tramuntana range and offers fantastic views. There are several ways to reach the summit, depending on your fitness level and starting point. The final 200 meters require some surefootedness, but are rewarded with a spectacular panorama of the island. Because of its striking shape, it is also called the "Matterhorn of Mallorca."

The garden, located right next to the Charterhouse in 1983, was named after King Juan Carlos and opened to the public in 1993. Between the large, old cypresses, palm trees and oleander plants there is also a bust of Chopin, who spent the winter here with George Sand in 1838/39. The garden is not too big, but invites you to linger.

3월 14, 2024, Vista de la Costa de Banyalbufar
On the way from Banyalbufar to Port des Canonge, there are many places with wonderful views of the coastal panorama all the way to Sa Foradada. Since many of the pine trees are currently broken or have fallen over due to storms, you can admire the clear view of the coastline over a longer stretch. The path is very easy to walk.

The beautiful garden is dominated by the Carthusian monastery, which is one of the classic destinations in Mallorca. Writer George Sand and composer Frederic Chopin spent a winter here.

3월 17, 2023, Camí de s'Arxiduc (Archduke's Trail)
One of the most popular hiking routes on the Balearic island of Mallorca today is the former bridle path of Archduke Ludwig Salvator in the Tramuntana mountains. The bridle path was laid out by the Archduke in the 19th century north of Valldemossa on a long ridge running west from the Puig de Teix and dropping steeply towards the sea during his stay in Mallorca. The Archduke's bridle path offers hikers fantastic panoramic views. It is precisely these fantastic views that attract hikers to the former bridle path, which is now known as Camille de s'Arxiduc, all year round. Today there are two variants of the former cycle path, which are now used by hikers: a) A circular route from Valldemossa to Puig Teix and back b) A hike from Valldemossa to Deia

10월 8, 2022, Puig de Galatzó Summit
The southernmost 1000m - worth a hike for that reason alone. From the Central Tramuntana (Masanella, etc.) you can see it in the south. Unfortunately often overcast. If you want to see the mountains in the north, you should check the weather forecast beforehand...

4월 5, 2022, Puig de Galatzó Summit
Not a walk, but coming from Estellencs it's not really difficult. It is probably thanks to this circumstance and the great view that you can hardly find a seat on the summit even in Corona times. We had to queue for the summit photo during the autumn holidays, during the summer holidays it is a bit quieter here, probably due to the temperature. Just before the summit there is a small climbing section, but even children (10 - 12?) mastered it effortlessly. A story for the summit: The second Count of Formiguera had inherited a legal dispute from his father about jurisdiction over the citizens of the Santa Margarita district. The residents did not agree with this at all and offered resistance, which the Count wanted to break with hired thugs and mercenaries. Despite murder and manslaughter, the citizens fought back fiercely and were able to drive away the mercenaries. With this brutal approach, the Count finally attracted the hatred of the inhabitants of Santa Margarita. He had to flee to his lands at the foot of the Galatzó and because of these cruel events he was given the name Comte Mal (Count Evil). At the foot of the Galatzó every year at the solstice, his restless soul rides through the night on a black stallion surrounded by green flames.
