The Rivera del Huéznar is one of the three great rivers of the Sierra Morena Seville, along with the Viar and the Retortillo. Although its course is short, only 60 km, its route is winding and presents marked unevenness. Throughout its course, this river is bordered by a very well-developed gallery forest, which is home to a diversity of plant and animal species. Among the birds that take refuge and nest in the trees that line the river are the kingfisher, the dipper and the nightingale. In addition, the otter, which only lives in rivers with protected banks and clean waters, also lives in this area. A beautiful place to explore! 😊

The Huesna has a length of 65 km, on the banks of the river grows one of the best forests in Seville. You can see a variety of species of native flora and fauna

With the morning vapor a beautiful oasis

The place conditioned as a recreational area, has tables and benches, bridges and wooden walkways. Good place to rest in the shade, thanks to its dense vegetation (elms, poplars and alders).

It is a set of waterfalls declared a natural monument in 2001. Along the trail you have the opportunity to see small and large waterfalls, also known as the Chorreras, as well as pools of crystal clear water. Bathing is not allowed.

This recreational area is located at the entrance to the town and is a very quiet area to walk along the river or have a picnic surrounded by nature. There are many picnic areas in the shade of the trees and, if you get close enough, you can see the source of the Huéznar through some bubbles that come out of a fault in the earth.

The asphalt is not the best (at least that was the case in 2013), but it is an extremely low-traffic road through the national park. Very nice bike tour.
