4월 14, 2025, Cap Blanc Lighthouse
The symbol of Cap Blanc is its lighthouse—with a 12-meter-high tower, built in 1862 and inaugurated a year later. It was designed by Emilio Pou, the creator of more than 20 lighthouses in the Balearic Islands. Although it seems incredible given the steepness of the area, one of the lighthouses had a supply boat and used a road that ran along the cliff to lift fuel to the lighthouse. It is without a doubt one of the most beautiful of all fourteen lighthouses in Mallorca.

Be careful when parking on the street. There are daily tickets.

The rocks at Cap Blanc fascinate the visitor because it has one of the most rugged coasts of the Mallorcan coast and undoubtedly one of the most amazing cliffs on the entire island. The Cap Blanc closes the Bay of Palma on the east side (and ends on the opposite side through the end of Cala Figuera).

Unfortunately, the wooden planked sections have now become so weathered that you have to be careful when driving and avoid the protruding screw heads.

We have known the beach for 20 years and unfortunately it has changed a lot. It has become narrow, it is overcrowded, and the atmospheric beach bars with seating in the water have been banned. There are only degradable "booths" and beer in plastic cups and no seating - nature conservation goes too far. There used to be toilets - where do the thousands of visitors do their business? Certainly in the actually protected dunes. The only thing left is the azure water.

Considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Mallorca... During our visit, however, we decided not to take a dip in the sea, because that day of all seaweed, seaweed and other dirt washed up. There are (as far as we could discover) only two entrances to the beach.

In summer the crowds at Es Trenc are too big for us, but we like to come here in spring and autumn. We always start from Colonia de Sant Jordi, where it's easier to find a parking space, and then walk along the beach until we find a nice spot. At the end there is always a delicious ice cream at Colonial in Colonia Sant Jordi, they also have vegan ice cream varieties. https://www.mallorcafuerkinder.de/playa-es-trenc-strand/

It is worth walking along this beach promenade. New wooden walkways make it easier to get past the remains of an old bunker and a military fortress at the beginning, then on to the approach path at Palma Airport - just stop and watch the planes approach. Then comes the first smaller port "Club Nautico Cala Gamba". This is followed by the first larger stretch of beach up to the Sa Gavina Blava monument. There are many rest stops here.... And before you know it, you're on the best way to walk all the way to Palma.... But there are enough buses that will take you back for little money, to Can Pastilla.

Unfortunately, the climb behind the boathouse on cliffs was too daring for me to undertake (64). This should be taken into account during the tour, that there are no There are steps (which I very much regretted).

Cala Pi is a wonderful little bay. In the off-season, the bay is still quite exclusive. In the high season, no apple falls to the ground.

An unusual place for Palma and the last undeveloped stretch of beach in the city. 'Es Carnatge' east of Palma is a real nature retreat, and is probably better known to locals as 'Playa de perros', meaning 'dog beach'. Since 2013, the part between Cala Gamba in the west and Can Pastilla in the east has officially had this status. With the plans of the island government published a few weeks ago to protect this area, it is not certain whether the insider tip will exist as before.
