The Gorafe Desert is a natural gem located in the province of Granada. The desert is located in the Guadix-Baza Depression, a sedimentary basin that once housed a lake. Today, it is famous for its changing colors throughout the day, ranging from ochres and reds to yellows. In addition, the area is rich in paleontological and archaeological sites, including more than 240 dolmens in the Gorafe Megalithic Park.

Great place, it's worth seeing it from above and also to hit the descent with its incredible percentages even if you have to go up. I did it in April at the end of the day and I was surprisingly surprised to be alone in the world.

Impressive semi-desert area formed by water erosion, which has created a landscape of boulevards, canyons and gullies. The reddish tones that give it its name are mixed with whitish and ocher lines in deposits forged over millions of years, layer upon layer. Worn by the action of the water and the very weakness of the land, the result is a hidden area of overwhelming beauty. It can be visited by bike, on foot or by 4x4 car.

In the Gorafe Badlands you can find archaeological sites of great importance, such as the Gorafe dolmen, dating from the Neolithic. This unique landscape is a must for lovers of geology and history.

Beautiful area of clayey soil located in Gorafe. It receives the name of Los Coloraos due to the color of the geological formations. Sunrise and sunset are especially ideal to enjoy this natural wonder in all its splendor.

The gorges/canyons of this unique landscape never cease to amaze. Great conditions for gravel riders and mountain bikers. When it rains or shortly after it rains, it can get quite muddy/sticky, so caution is advised.
