We leave the labyrinthine alleys of Alcalà del Jùcar and cycle along a good gravel road along the rio Júcar. Remains of old settlements in the limestone mountain that drops vertically. We pick figs and pomegranates that are ripe now at the end of September. Eagles fly in the upwinds. This is a route we can really recommend.

Jorquera is one of the most impressive municipalities in Castilla-La Mancha. Located on a rocky hill surrounded by the Júcar river. Here, just below, next to the dam on the river, some natural pools were formed, a mandatory stop to rest in the summer. Swimming area with natural shade and a place to have a picnic.

A mandatory stop in summer. Perfect for a bath and for taking photos of the waterfall.

From the plateau at Alcozarejos it goes down to the Rio Jucar. Well-developed, low-traffic country road.
