Some alpine hiking experience is required. While the trails are all manageable, they are a bit slippery in places due to loose scree. However, with hiking poles and proper hiking boots, the route is easily manageable. There’s a parking and observation hut here. I was lucky to see hundreds of flamingos. I’m not sure if they are always there, but I assume the tourist installation would suggest that they are pretty much a permanent feature.

You are supposed to walk round the laid-out path which is 1.6Km. As I was in November, I rode slowly round, but with more tourists that would be impossible. There was very little wildlife to see when I was there, but it’s definitely worth a stop.
