Circo de Gredos, a cirque formed by a glacier, covers approximately 33 hectares. The barren, rocky, high-mountain landscape of this cirque is spectacular and one of the absolute highlights of the Central System. To the north, at the foot of the Almanzor, lies the Laguna Grande lake.

From this point it is difficult to see that it is a circus, but it is breathtakingly beautiful.

Fountain Los Barrerones

El Morezón is a peak located in the Sierra de Gredos. It is 2,389 meters high1 and is one of the peaks that make up the Circo de Gredos. It is located in the municipality of Navalperal de Tormes, in the province of Ávila. From its top you have one of the best views of the Circo de Gredos with the Elola Refuge and the Laguna Grande in the foreground and the most emblematic peaks of the circus —such as Almanzor, La Galana and Ameal de Pablo— behind it.

The Port of Candeleda is a natural balcony with impressive views of the Tiétar Valley and the southern slope of Gredos.

Beautiful water dams in this area of the Río Barbellido, where you have to be alert when crossing the bridge but the views of the river itself are worth it.

From this point you can see the entirety of the Gredos cirque and the set of valleys that make it up. The path, along kilometers, offers spectacular views.
