The Troil Canal. According to scientists, they date back at least 3600 years ago. Due to the precipitation of calcium carbonate, these canals grew and continuously formed these amazing walls (some of them are 4 meters wide at the base, less than a meter wide at the top, 15 meters high and reach a length of almost 750 meters

Coming from Beas de Guadix, you first have to overcome a steep climb. Doable with a MTB cassette, 38/42 were quite strenuous with a loaded bike. At the top, however, you are rewarded with a fantastic view. Absolutely brilliant and recommended.

The Mirador del Fin del Mundo is a natural balcony over the Granada Geopark, a plain plenty of gullies and badlands in the northern part of the province of Granada that contains the largest concentration of cave dwellings and dolmens in Europe. This iconic climb is just 700m in length but with an average of 15% and a maximum gradient over 25%.

A very interesting natural phenomenon that goes back to the first humans and beyond. An old calcareous water source that has been building itself for many thousands of years to the wall it has become today. At the top, the water still flows abundantly through the source. The water is still clearly visible on the road side, as the surrounding ground is even higher.

Beautiful viewpoint over the desert of Gorafe. A unique landscape full of gorges and valleys that is reminiscent of the Grand Canyon in the United States, but is also completely different and unique. If you turn around, you will see that you are standing on a plateau, which only makes the experience more special.

It is worth making a stop along the way, leaving your bike to one side and following the short path that connects the track with the viewpoint esplanade. From here you get a good view of where we are going: the amazing Gorafe desert.

The Granada Geopark is a natural plain plenty of gullies and badlands in the northern part of the province of Granada. The landscape is deeply marked by the erosion of the basins of the Rivers Fardes and Guadix, being one of the oldest human settlements in the Iberian Peninsula and containing the largest concentration of cave dwellings and dolmens in Europe.

The aqueduct or Acequia del Toril, is a travertine formation (of porous limestone), in the form of a wall. It has a winding route, just over 1.5 kilometers long, which makes it very stable, reaching at some points more than 10 meters high. The thickness of its walls is variable, in the higher channel the thickness of the walls reaches three meters at its base and 70 centimeters at its highest part, where the water flows. The Acequia del Toril, is formed by porous limestone. It has been created by nature without the help of man, over the millennia. Of course, since the arrival of the first settlers in the area, already in prehistoric times, they used this water channel to supply a settlement from one of the eight hot springs in the environment.
