The Coll de Barres is a hill with beautiful views in the Sierra de Espadá. The climb is demanding both from Eslida and from Ain.

The climb and descent of Coll de Barres offers spectacular views of the Sierra de Espada.

Crossroads of paths and roads. The GR36 trail crosses the entire Sierra de Espadán Natural Park, from Vilavella to Montanejos (or vice versa), in a total route of more than 65 kilometers that passes through the towns of Eslida, Aín, Veo, Alcudia de Veo and Torralba del Pinar. In Montanejos, it also connects with the GR 7 that runs along the eastern Spanish peninsula.

The drive is a beautiful mountain road the entire distance between Alcidia de Veo and at least Vall de Almonacid, which is very worthwhile in both directions. On the Alcidia side it is mostly shady further up, certainly enjoyable in summer, cold in winter even in sunny weather! The whole Serra Espada seems to me to be a road bike paradise inside, really spectacular landscape! Everything that is marked in yellow by Komoot here are roads of the finest racing bike quality, on which you can really let it rip. But the landscape is actually too beautiful for that!

Demanding stretch if done uphill from Fanzara to Montanejos. You pass through the port of Vallat, one of the most colorful and picturesque of Alto Mijares. In addition to being colorful, this section is very quiet, practically without traffic and with pavement in excellent condition.

Nice mountain pass where you will very rarely cross a car, which makes it ideal for enjoying the scenery. Not very demanding medium slopes and a surface in good condition, an ideal combination for a bottom or unloading day.

It is a beautiful pass that winds towards Ain. There are also excellent views of Benalí Castle.
