Aureli

12월 29, 2022, Pico Javalambre

We are at Pico Javalambre at an altitude of 2,019 meters, considered a sacred mountain by many nature lovers and/or Turolenses. It is the highest peak of the mountain range that bears his name, it is considered by the majority of Teruel residents to be the roof of their province, although the true roof of Teruel is the top of Peñarroya. If we have the opportunity to climb here when there is no snow, we will be able to appreciate the so-called "leopard skin" caused by the vegetation on the entire surface of the massif, a work of art of nature!

The Javalambre Peak at 2,019 m is the highest in the mountain range that bears its name. It is considered by the majority of Teruel residents to be the roof of their province, although the true roof of Teruel is Peñarroya. At the top of Pico Javalambre, in addition to the enormous antenna that helps you orient yourself but destroys the landscape, there are other smaller antennas, apart from a track that reaches the same summit, some ski slopes next to it. All this spoils the beautiful surrounding landscape quite a bit.

For many a sacred mountain and undoubtedly a reference of the province of Teruel. The top of Javalambre at 2019 masl offers very nice views in all directions. A few km away is the Javalmabre ski station, a very popular place in the winter season and from where you can start the ascent to the summit. If you go up here when there is no snow, you will be able to appreciate the curious "leopard skin" caused by the vegetation over the entire large area of the massif, a work of art of nature!

The path next to the Turia ravine is a very picturesque walk that connects the towns of Villel and Villaspesa. It is not difficult and if I recommend you do it in the spring or autumn months, the sun can be very hard in summer!

Its name refers to the surge from where the Riodeva is born. Not only is the landscape and environment of the Amanaderos something unique, but so is the path to get here. From the town of Riodeva, follow a path that in sections coincides with the GR 10 and runs along the river ravine between steps, boulevards and footbridges. A route that also runs through several waterfalls depending on the flow of the river depending on the rains.

La Escondilla are a set of small mounds of barren land, without vegetation, where the road passes through the middle, skirting the Túria river in its direction towards the Mediterranean Sea. These small hills have a very characteristic orange color of the area

Going down from Camarena to Cascante you run into the El Cabrito Fountain, also called Los Once Caños, without prior notice. Such is the number of them that lead, each one a trickle of water, in a longitudinal pile. The fountain is born next to the Camarena River and has a recreational area to have a snack and be cool in the shade of the poplars of the river. It has grills to make coals.

This place is called like this because the Eva River is born here. The vertiginous river descends through the Los Amanaderos ravine with numerous waterfalls. One of the most impressive and which you can approach from here is "El Salto de la Yegua".
