This mighty ravine collects the waters of seven other ravines: Mascarada, Cllotet, Ardonés, Ubago de Ardonés, Ampríu, Puimestre and La Selva. That large basin was partly responsible for the great floods of 1963 that left Anciles looking like an island.

It is interesting that grain was sown at this height by previous generations.

All the Aragonese lakes are protected as they are included in the Inventory of Singular Wetlands, so any activity that could modify the quality of their waters is prohibited. While bathing is not specifically mentioned, it is understood that bathing with chemicals on the skin such as sunscreens, deodorants, perfumes or creams is negatively affecting the quality of the water, so it cannot be done. The second of the three waterfalls, with a jump of greater height but less flow, coming from the ravine of the same name that descends from the Collado d'Ardonés.

Popular waterfall for its aesthetics and accessibility from Cerler. The upper part, also called the Bom waterfall, freezes during some winter months and becomes a regular place for ice climbing. This is because it spends most of the day in the shade, which is why the upper ravine is called Barranco de l'Ubago (shady in Aragonese).
