Illeta dels Banyets is the name given to the offshore "old" peninsula, which was separated from the mainland by an earthquake in earlier times. In 1943 it was reconnected to the mainland to form a natural breakwater. Remains from prehistoric times, the Bronze Age and the Middle Ages have been found here and excavations are still ongoing. Many school classes visit this place, you can take a tour yourself.

Beautiful views of the valley and the mountain slopes! The Montnegre Valley lies inland from Alicante, between Xixona, Muchamiel, Tibi, and San Vicente del Raspeig. It is crossed by the Río Monnegre and is characterized by arid Mediterranean landscapes with gorges, pine forests, and ancient terraced fields. A varied route leads along the Carretera de Montnegre near the Molí de Capeta, a historic watermill. The views from this point on the Montnegre road will not leave you indifferent. From here you can see a good part of the valley flanked by peaks and limestone slopes dotted with the greenery of the vegetation.

From the road you can see a good stretch of the Les Salines ravine. The water has eroded the limestone for thousands of years, revealing the sediment substrates that in this area have different colors. This creates a spectacular landscape of reddish, gray and bluish stone tones that contrasts with the vegetation.
