On one of the roads that go in the direction of Hornos from its southern side we find this viewpoint that lets us see the Tranco de Beas Reservoir and the set of mountains that surround it.

The panoramic views that you get from this viewpoint to the surrounding mountains are very beautiful. It is an ideal place to take a break and savor the charming picture that you have in front of you.

The name does not really honor the place, because it is an area where a small water reservoir is produced, "without oil" 🤭 but it is an ideal area for bathing and resting. From there begins an endless climb towards one of the most beautiful areas of the mountains: the refuge of La Parra

El Guijarrón (1273 meters) is an incredible natural balcony with spectacular views of the El Tranco reservoir. Surely you will find a mountain goat there or a vulture flying over the sky! At the top there is also a fire watch house that can be used as a shelter (except in the fire season).

It is possible to go hiking in the surroundings through short routes along the path that runs parallel to the river. Some 200m downstream on the left bank is the mouth of the Tranco reservoir drainage tunnel, where the water comes out turbulently.

El Charco de la Pringue, is a natural pool and recreational park next to the Guadalquivir river, located in the Sierra de Segura and Cazorla. Great place to start any adventure. Free access parking.

Summit of 1270m located on the periphery of the Pantano del Trancolas reservoir. It offers peripheral views of the Sierra de las Lagunillas or the Monteagudo hill among other places.

This natural pool, created by the old bed of the Guadalquivir river, is located in the Sierra de las Villas. It is a small oasis in which we find a pool of water with an overflow, a beach bar to have a drink, an area for barbecues, rest areas and even a stone area to jump into the water. They say that its name comes from the fact that a donkey loaded with oil skins fell into the puddle, staining it with the contents of its load.
