Already in the middle of the gorge.

Impressive wall that rises on both sides of the Barranc del Bosc and on the north side, is the Roca Regina. Some of these walls are normally climbed so it's normal to see a group of climbers hanging on these upright, mountainous stones that the water has formed!

A truly spectacular hike

With magnificent views of Camarasa and the Segre River, at this point we will find the Cova del Tabac, a monumental cave where we will find ancient cave paintings damaged by acts of vandalism. The cave was formed by karst phenomena, meaning that water infiltrated through the stone over millions of years. As a curiosity, we know that the name Cova del Tabac comes from the powder that centuries ago was extracted from it to mix with tobacco.

Traditionally known as "Roques de la Vila", this unique geological formation was renamed the Chinese Wall of Finestres to encourage tourism in the area. You can access the foot of it by boat through the Canelles reservoir.

Before the tourist name of "Chinese Wall of Finestres" was popularized, this place was known as Roques de la Vila. The particular rock formation, originated in the Cretaceous, came to be used as a true defensive wall for the ruins found between the two parallel walls.

The road is quite simple, about 3.5 km long and it takes approximately 1h 45' to cover the one-way journey.

Path with magnificent views of the Mont-rebei gorge through which it runs. We will find narrower parts of the route, so do not trust us and keep our eyes open during the route. On weekends we can find more people than usual.
