Did it in End June via Alpenweg and it was quite interesting. Unlike some peak where you just walk and walk, here it wss some real climb even if it was for a short time. Be careful of stones falling from above. Recommend to use helmet and climbing gloves. You see full Bodensee or Lake Constance from here

The rest area mentioned in the other comments, really very nice, is a little further down (own highlight). Here, at the Gäbris summit, you are in the middle of the forest. So the short detour doesn't have to be, unless you really want to be at the highest point.

The Hundstein is a wonderful viewing mountain. However, its summit must first be hiked via a blue-white-blue path. From the direction of Bollenwees T4 and surefootedness and a head for heights required. From the Marwees side much more difficult and through the chimney T5 / || to master.

The climb from the Bollenwees side is quite steep and you are exposed to the blazing sun. And the descent to the Widderalpsattel should not be underestimated either. If necessary, you should approach the round like @Christian K. & Miriam wrote the other way around.
