A super beautiful peak with stunning views, although it has some very steep slopes.

An amazing hill, the views are breathtaking, especially those of Mugarra.

After reaching this peaceful and green hill, where it is sometimes even possible to enjoy horses around, we can have a panoramic view of the area in which, of course, the Mugarra stands out right next to it, imposing itself over the area. If you are going to climb Mugarra, it is an ideal point to stop to regain strength before the last stretch.

Dominating over the center of Mañaria, this 941 meter high peak is the highest point of this limestone mountain. From the top, you can enjoy privileged views of several surrounding points, among which the Mugarra and the Leungane stand out, right in front of where you are located.

Viewpoint from which to enjoy the most mountainous landscape of the Urdaibai basin. Located on the slopes of the Oiz, the balcony of Bizkaia is an emblematic enclave from where you can see the forest mass of the area in all its breadth. Hirumugarrieta is a megalithic station located in the pastoral station of Artxanda, in the mountain range that surrounds Bilbao, near Mount Avril. The dolmen has a rectangular chamber. Surrounding it was the galgal composed of slabs folded towards the center of the funerary monument. It has been recently excavated, so this monument constitutes a starting point for the study of the cultural manifestations of the Bronze Age of the Artxanda pastoral station, also allowing analogies and differences to be established with other pastoral stations in the territory.

To get to the walls of Atxarte I follow one of the tracks of the GR38: “Ruta del Vino y del Pescado” which also crosses Urkiola and does so through a spectacular setting. The quarry and the walls of Atxarte are an icon of this small mountain range. An area with a climbing and mountaineering environment that is a reference throughout the Basque Country and surroundings.

Very nice vantage point on the coast. However, once you've conquered the nearby Oiz, you're more likely to drive past here.
