The path to the organ pipes is easily manageable with a 2-hour stay. Good footwear is recommended. There are no benches, just a few stones to rest on. The Nationals Trust Visitor Centre, which sits on the hillside above the Causeway and serves as a gateway to the World Heritage Site, was designed by Dublin-based Heneghan Peng Architects. The building was opened in July 2012 by First Minister Peter Robinson and Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness and replaces the temporary structures and previous visitor center built in 1986, the same year the Causeway was officially recognized as a World Heritage Site, but unfortunately Burnt down in 2002.
