Great place to take the kids and yourself

Did on a cyclo-cross bike, felt like I almost died.

Nothing crazy, suits a rigid bike to keep things interesting. Obviously if you come a little more equipped then you can probably make the most of the jumps, red loops and features. Some of the drops in the later sections and some of the climbing can be challenging for a beginner but there's nothing here to really sweat about.

Gnarly to say the least. Only really suitable for a good MTB. I did it on a gravel bike with 40mm tyres and it was a bit emotional in places... good fun though in a perverted sort of way.

Fun local pump track. Great warm up before heading to the trails. Get some funny looks from the local skaters.

Lovely all weather trails. Nice and flowy. Suitable for intermediate riders on CX/gravel bikes

Do I just park in the parking of ashton court and do the nova trail to experience switchback & swoops?

Fun little pump track to practice those sillzzzz. Gets a bit busy with kids and teenagers in the day so go early if you want get some pumping practice in.

Fun on MTb or a Gravel bike, watch out for some particularly deep puddles when wet if on a rigid...

You can join the blue-rated MTB trail in Leigh Woods from here, just next to the car park. This loop is named Yer Tiz and you'll also find some more challenging red-rated alternative sections along the way too. It's pretty rocky for the most part but not too muddy, although you will find plenty of puddles in the winter so waterproof socks are a good idea if you have them! The trail crosses walking routes and fire roads often, so be aware of families and dogs also enjoying the beautiful Leigh Woods nature reserve.

Fun, smooth and well looked after pump track

Overlooked by the beautiful Clifton Suspension Bridge, this has got to be one of the best - and perhaps busiest - pump tracks in Bristol. Enjoy a few laps on your way to Ashton Court or way back from the Pill Path into town.

One of the best trails in Ashton Court IMO

Awesome trail built and maintained by the wonderful folks at Pedal Progression and their band of merry volunteers (chapeau). If you'd like to give it a go, but don't have a MTB or gravel bike to ride, they also do really good hire bikes for a few hours or longer. This section is the end of the blue-rated Nova trail, which leads to the gatehouse closest to the Clifton Suspension Bridge. To get back to the start for a second lap, follow the road on your right and take the gravel road up to the woods.

A great part of the blue Nova trail to session thanks to the parallel fire road. It's barely downhill but you'll find loads of berms and bumps to hone in your skills on.
