The views from here on a good day are superb.

The headland looking back on Hope Cove and across to South Milton Sands. A nice stead walk up with some rockier bits near the top. Make sure you’re wearing suitable footwear if you want to get to the top of the view point.

In a valley just outside Salcombe, Soar Mill Cove is in the most incredible location… with miles of majestic National trust coastline all around, a secluded sandy beach, great for swimming.

South Devon AONB is packed with beautiful views such as this. From Hoist Point, you can look out over Hoist Beach, Meddrick Rocks and over to Burgh Island opposite Bigbury. Take care in strong winds and always keep to the path, no matter how dramatic and enticing the cliff edges look to photograph.
