Impressive scenery along the climb. Moderate traffic makes it easy to ride. The highlight ends at a rest area with toilets. The main climb is then done.

Wonderful fell road - a beautiful mountain pass. Very little traffic thanks to the tunnel between Laerdal and Aurland 😊

Fantastic driveway to the Fjell. Up to the Stegastein vantage point, serpentines always lead up with a view of the fjord. You have to watch out for the traffic, the road is sometimes very narrow and there is also a lot of traffic due to the Stegastein highlight. The viewpoint itself is nice but mostly overcrowded. From there the road leads into the highlands, the trees disappear and on the horizon you can see the last four curves that lead to the top of the pass. Once at the top, the view is simply beautiful.

The most characteristic features of this road are the solitude and the completely untouched landscape. Only the power line bears witness to the fact that people also live here.

The Fv243 from Aurland to Lærdalsøyri is a wonderfull ride, especially in early june when there is still lots of snow. Beautiful landscape.
