It's fun to cross the short gorge

Wonderful windswept tour to Bossnuten with a perfect view. The Gaustatoppen at 1883 m is also clearly visible. NORGE jeg elsker deg.

Crossing this small gorge on the Lardalstigen is definitely worthwhile and not particularly dangerous. However, you should be careful when descending because of the wetness and people with claustrophobia should avoid this detour altogether.

Beautiful hiking tour on a clearly visible, unmarked hiking trail from the junction (parking) to the summit of the Bossnuten. Panoramic views of Gaustatoppen, Mosvatn and Hardangervidda.

With its 1432 meters and spectacular view in all directions, this is not to be missed if you want to go hiking. The path that starts at the intersection Rjukanvegen/Varlandsvegen is the best place to start, and gives you a hike of around 3,7km with 460m of elevation. Not a very long climb, but a somewhat steep one. You often see families with kids take this route.

A little less windy than on the summit itself. Good all-round view, also on the way back, which leads back down.

A 7 km long gravel and narrow path leads to Ravnejuv (Raven Gorge). It's worth the detour if you're in the mood for some great nature (a 350-metre drop above the Tokkeåi River) and a little experiment. It is said that banknotes are dropped into the gorge for fun and that they are carried back up by the thermals. However, we have not tried that.

Impressive distant view. Easy to climb over the remaining snow, which is not too steep.
