Mont de l'Enclus or Kluisberg is a hill located in the Flemish Ardennes, on the border of Flanders and Wallonia, which rises to 141 meters. A popular destination for cycling, tourism and recreation, the hill has a built-in tower. Two thirds of the area is in Kluisbergen. The Kluisbos stands out at the top of the Kluisberg! This 141 meter high mountain is one of the jewels of the Flemish Ardennes. Precious nature, magnificent views, sights and leisure activities for little nature lovers make it an ideal destination for young and old.

Not so touring bike friendly anymore. Gravel and grass have almost disappeared. Deep ruts, mud ruts and large stones make driving difficult. Only for adventurous touring cyclists, but perhaps perfect for mountain bikers. Pretty steep too.

Very nice crossing path

Leo Piron, the man after whom the path is named, was a painter. He was married to a daughter of Valerius De Saedeleer. Like his father-in-law, he immortalized the landscapes of the Flemish Ardennes in his paintings. The Leo Piron Trail connects Nukerke with Zulzeke and runs along a so-called "hollow road." This was created by a natural erosion process: centuries of use of the same path, on foot or by horse and cart, loosened soil is loosened and washed away by rainwater. This causes the path to become increasingly deeper. Animals such as foxes, birds, and rodents find food and shelter there.
