The forests in this area consist of a healthy mix of coniferous and deciduous trees. There is a wide range of different flora and fauna to see. The fortress was built in 1909-1912. The unreinforced concrete buildings stand on a triangular fortress island. It is a fortress of the second order with attached lapel caponiers.
