Thuin 언덕에 매달린 행잉 가든은 정말 독특한 풍경을 선사합니다. 비에스멜 계곡의 경사면을 따라 내려가는 이 테라스는 정원, 돌, 녹지가 어우러진 진정한 패치워크를 이룹니다. 이곳은 풍경을 감상하는 즐거움만큼이나 한때 이 도시 주민들이 경작했던 테라스의 역사를 상상하는 즐거움도 선사하는 곳입니다. 하이킹 중에 발견할 수 있는 Thuin의 보물 중 하나입니다.

생샤를 언덕은 마르시넬의 놀랍도록 푸른 얼굴을 보여줍니다. 점차 자연에 의해 되찾아진 옛 광산 비탈에는 이제 식물이 석탄을 장악한 길들이 나 있습니다. 산업 유산과 자연의 아름다운 만남이며, 이 지역 역사의 한 조각을 걷고 있다는 특별한 느낌을 줍니다.

The Saint-Charles Sud slag heap, entirely wooded, has been converted into a place of discovery and relaxation. It adjoins the Bois du Cazier site, where the biggest mining disaster in the history of Belgium took place on the morning of August 8, 1956. The summit hosts a panoramic observatory on the region, at nearly 250 meters above sea level. A path has been laid out to facilitate the ascent of the slag heap. The Pétria slag heap, known as “Seat No. 1” was created between 1870 and 1926. It was then exploited and reworked as part of the recovery of coal shale and residual coal. Bought by the City of Fontaine-l'Evêque in 1995, the Pétria slag heap was classified as a "Natura 2000" zone in 2002. In 2020, the site became an approved nature reserve for batrachians following substantial developments aimed at protecting natterjack toads and midwife toads: excavation of temporary ponds, cleaning of sludge tanks to make them a breeding site, cleaning and clearing of the Babelone pond. https://www.destinationterrils.eu/fr/terril-du-petria
