War Line 1945 is one of the most beautiful trails in the Modenese Apennines. The itinerary begins shortly after Lake Pratignano and then descends towards Serrazzone. The trail, technical and fun at the same time, runs along the Gothic Line, the articulated system of defensive fortifications built by the German army during the Second World War. The Gothic Line was the scene of the breakthrough battles by the Allies in the spring of 1945 during the liberation of Italy. The name of the trail is a tribute to the history of these places.
