We were here in early September, and the trail is dangerous. It leads several hundred meters through a high ravine with outdated ropes and wooden planks with rusty nails that appeared to have been installed long ago for safety. The trail hasn't been maintained for a long time and is poorly visible in many places. From Pizzi Bianchi south (in September), shoulder-high reeds and brambles overgrow the trail. I wouldn't recommend this trail either.

Be careful in the pine forest. Dead trees falling on the path make it dangerous and impassable in some places.

It is a large promontory overlooking Ischia and Casamicciola, an extraordinary vegetation that has completely covered the ancient volcanic vents. The entire area has a total surface area of 450,000 square meters. It rises on partially humified volcanic soils, of volcanological, geomorphological and botanical interest. The mild and sweet climate favors a type of evergreen vegetation. The geographical support of the forest is Monte Rotaro, a hill whose name derives from the corruption of the words crater or Cretaio meaning chalky. It is an extinct volcano, whose current shape is due to approx. 400 years of volcanic activity. The first eruption was about 700 years BC. The wooded area is divided into two distinct forest biotypes: the Holm oak forest and the Domestic Pine pine forest, you can observe: the "horse tooth" uncommon plant, tropical mosses, strawberry tree, ferns.

Sorgeto Bay is one of the hidden treasures of Ischia. It is located on the south coast of the island and offers a unique natural thermal experience thanks to its natural hot springs that flow directly into the sea, creating a mixture of hot and cold water. TIP: The bay can be reached by land via the hamlet of Panza in the municipality of Forio, climbing 250 panoramic steps, or by sea with a taxi boat from the village of Sant’Angelo which also connects with Maronti beach.

The water stone is located on the top of Monte della Guardia, 720 m, the second highest peak of Mount Epomeo.

Definitely recommended. At the top you have a complete panoramic view of the island.

Previously developed path but very damaged by storms and very steep, ropes are installed but I would avoid the path if I were you.
