We were here in early September, and the trail is dangerous. It leads several hundred meters through a high ravine with outdated ropes and wooden planks with rusty nails that appeared to have been installed long ago for safety. The trail hasn't been maintained for a long time and is poorly visible in many places. From Pizzi Bianchi south (in September), shoulder-high reeds and brambles overgrow the trail. I wouldn't recommend this trail either.

How to Reach the Water Stone The stone of water is located on the top of Monte della Guardia, 720 m, the second highest peak of Monte Epomeo. It consists of a tuff block excavated in the last centuries by man. The stone can only be reached on foot via a fairly easy mountain path. Follow the signs for the Bracconiere restaurant, and continue along via Falanga until the end of the driveway. If you are by car you must leave it along the road, at the end of the driveway, from there take a mule track towards Monte Epomeo, attention, the road is not signposted, follow it for 1 km, up to the summit of Monte della Guardia about 25 minutes on foot , and on the path that leads to the other peak you will find the Water Stone. If you do not have a car, the bus will leave you at the Serrara Cemetery, from which you follow the signs for the Bracconiere restaurant, you have to add 1.5 km to the previous route, and about 20 minutes on foot. Other paths lead to the water stone, from the summit of San Nicola and the other from the falanga and the frassitelli but are suitable for hikers and mountain lovers.
