에스테 두칼 정원(이전의 공공 정원)의 기원은 1598년으로 거슬러 올라갑니다. 이 해에 체사레 공작은 성 북쪽에 있는 넓은 미개발 지역을 울타리로 둘러쌌습니다. 정원으로의 변모는 르네상스 정원에서 흔히 볼 수 있는 유형을 따라 이후 몇 년에 걸쳐 이루어졌습니다. 1634년에는 비가라니의 궁전 건설 작업도 완료되었는데, 이 건물은 17세기 건축의 고전적인 특징을 간직한 아름다운 건축물입니다. 이후 거의 1세기 동안 방치된 후, 프란체스코 3세의 궁정 하에서 식물원이 조성되었고, 공원의 내부 구조가 복원되었습니다. 1800년대 중반에 상당한 변화가 일어나, 우리는 다양한 궁전 건물들과 나머지 숲 지역과의 형식적인 연결을 유지하기 위해 잘 디자인된 화단 구역을 갖춘 '혼합' 정원 지역을 갖게 되었습니다.

It is a rebalancing area of over 13 hectares, 40% of which is occupied by a residual reservoir from the cultivation of an abandoned open-air clay quarry, filled over time with spring and rainwater, where a thick hedge, also dotted with tall trees, it flanks the right side of the lake and the spontaneous vegetation acts as a refuge for numerous species of resident and transient birds.

The park dates back to 1598 and inside there is the Vigarani palace built in 1634. It is currently also a cultural space thanks to the presence of various international exhibitions. The pond and the different species of trees make it a perfect place for a relaxing walk.

the path is almost entirely in the sun and on a dirt road, therefore a hat and shoes suitable for the gravel are recommended.

The garden dates back to 1598 and still has the typical structure of a Renaissance garden. The Vigarani building is still present in the park, which emerges from all the main perspectives
