The Colle San Marco plateau is a plateau located at about 700 meters above sea level near Ascoli Piceno. It is the terminal part of the Montagna dei Fiori, one of the two peaks of the Monti Gemelli, and offers a spectacular view over the city of Ascoli Piceno and the Tronto valley up to the Adriatic Sea.

The Monte dell'Ascensione is a relief of the Marche sub-Apennine at an altitude of 1100 meters. It is surrounded by spectacular gullies, which form part of the protected area of the Parco dei Calanchi e Monte Ascensione, and its name derives from a church there to be found on the summit founded in the 14th century by Meco del Sacco, a hermit and preacher.
