The peak of Monte Peglia is over 800 meters high and is located in the municipality of San Venanzo. The roads to access it are all quite challenging, but all in all rideable, from any side the climb is generally long (even over 15 km). The peak is easily recognizable by the presence of the RAI antenna. The Monte Peglia nature reserve, in addition to the presence of fauna and flora, is also characterized by the presence of prehistoric fossil deposits and by the three volcanoes, now extinct, near the town of San Venanzo. It's cool in the summer

There are a few small ponds at the foot of the mountain. Due to the low water level due to the drought, one could unfortunately not swim, but only cool one's feet.

The Forello gorges correspond to a narrow valley between Todi and Orvieto carved out by the Tiber river which crosses the ridge between Monte Peglia and the Amerini mountains. The Gorges are particular because they have a flat bottom (due to flooding) with lots of vegetation that changes color according to the seasons. The river bed is well designed as a channel. The Gorges form the heart of the Tiber River Park.

Monte Peglia divides the Orvieto valley from that of Todi. It is 830 m high and houses numerous antennas for telecommunications, starting with that of the RAI in 1953 (one of the first antennas of the Italian radio and television system). For the balance between nature and human presence, M.A.B (Man and Biosphere) has been proclaimed by UNESCO. It lies between the park of the same name and that of the Selva di Meana.
