스칸사노‬에서 가장 멋진 ‪3‬개의 천연기념물

그로세토 근처 옴브로네 강에 있는 스테카이아 폭포는 1830년에 만들어진 역사적인 인공 댐으로, 산 마르티노의 폰테 투라 근처에 있습니다. 수력 구조물에 의해 형성된 이 폭포는 관개를 위해 물을 우회시켜 인상적인 풍경과 마렘마 지역의 자연 명소 중 하나를 만듭니다.

The Ghiaccio Forte archaeological site is located in the municipality of Scansano, in Maremma (Tuscany), on a hill overlooking the Albegna river valley. It is an important Etruscan settlement dating back to the 4th century BC, built as a refuge during a period of Roman expansion. The area was previously occupied by a sanctuary dedicated to fertility deities, later dismantled to make way for the fortified city. The city walls, about a kilometer long and 4 meters thick, protected the acropolis, the production area and the central palace, destroyed by the Romans in 280 BC. The excavations, started in 1970, brought to light finds of great value (bronzes, votive objects, statuettes) now preserved in the Archaeological Museum and the Vine and Wine Museum of Scansano. The site can be visited freely, with explanatory panels along the route. In summer it hosts cultural events and guided tours.

This natural thermal spa with its various pools is a truly special natural spectacle. A dream come true in the mornings or evenings. Reachable from the campervan site in just under 20 minutes on foot. Restaurants, showers, and restrooms are right next door.

If you don't want to be so crowded, you have to get up early. It's already packed by midday. We're not bed-leavers, so we drove past it and didn't come back until the evening. With the last rays of sun, there were fewer bathers and more peace and quiet for relaxation in the comfortably warm water with a view of the wonderful nature. Your nose gets used to the slight smell of sulphur very quickly. Don't miss it.😊

The Steccaia dam, or simply the Steccaia, is an artificial barrier located along the course of the Ombrone river in Grosseto, Tuscany.

Parking lot for campers is about 1km north - who's interested ;o)
