Good ground for most of the route, sometimes stony but still fast and enjoyable. The first stretches at high altitude are beautiful, allowing you to appreciate the view while diving into a sea of ferns. Further down in the woods, and before Armeno, an "incomprehensible" stretch paved with stone that looks more like a bobsleigh track than a path.
