The path develops for a first stretch among the chestnut groves, therefore it is absolutely not recommended to do it during the harvesting period, the bottom is at the beginning of beaten earth but then as the slopes increase it gives way to disconnected pebbles and rock and out of the chestnut grove yes travels along the side of the slope until you reach the grotto of the SS Salvatore. This second section is very scenic and challenging both for slopes and for the bottom. On the way you will find the path that descends on the banks of the river Sabato with a picnic area.
