Serra San Bruno is worth a visit. Lake Sambuco di Mongiana is located within the Cropani-Micone Biogenetic Nature Reserve. To get to the lake, you go along another river, the Allaro

pond dedicated to the saint of the same name, on its banks there is a plaque bearing the text: "The pond refers to the legend according to which San Bruno did penance and prayed kneeling in the water 1645".

According to some sources, this stone takes its name "Lu Moru" thanks to a skilled stonemason by the name of Lo Moro. In this place, it is described, that the stones that he worked were extracted, and therefore the site took his name.

Between Serra San Bruno and Mongiana you drive through dense, mystical forest. In summer, the shade provides a welcome cooling, because the climbs are sometimes very strenuous.
