The Rocca di Maioletto is an ancient fortress located in Maiolo, in the province of Rimini, Emilia Romagna, Italy. The Rocca di Maioletto was built on a gigantic boulder of sand and clay and the few restored ruins are the remains of one of the most difficult fortresses to conquer in the entire Valmarecchia and Montefeltro. Legend has it that the fortress of Maioletto and the village below were destroyed by a landslide, which tradition indicates occurred between 29 and 30 May 1700 as divine punishment for an "angelic dance held within the castle walls".

There are steel cables that help the steep ascent, good movement ability is required, there are exposed sections, albeit short, not negligible. The Simoncello is an important mountain in the Apennines, located on the border between Emilia-Romagna (municipality of Pennabilli, in the province of Rimini), Tuscany (municipality of Sestino, in the province of Arezzo) and the Marches (municipality of Carpegna , in the province of Pesaro-Urbino). The top of the mountain falls entirely within the province of Pesaro and Urbino [1]; it is also entirely included in the regional natural park of Sasso Simone and Simoncello. Although the name is a diminutive of the nearby Sasso Simone, the Simoncello is actually higher; in fact, it reaches an altitude of 1,221 meters [2] against the 1,204 of Sasso Simone. The Simoncello forms an intermediate ring in the mountain range that separates the valleys of the Marecchia (north-west) and Foglia (south-east) rivers, a chain that continues southward with the Sasso Simone and which further north also includes Mount Carpegna (1,415 m). Many tributary streams of both the Marecchia and the Foglia are born from the slopes of the Simoncello. (Wikipedia)

One of the most evocative points of this Carpegna area. A point of union between nature and man: a magnificent panorama up to the sea and, a stone's throw away, the top of the mountain. The scenario is joined by an infrastructure such as the chairlift which, in reality, does not disturb the balance

10월 22, 2020, Ponte Romanico di Montetiffi
Built around the 11th century in sandstone blocks and two meters wide, it connects the Uso Valley with the Marecchia Valley with its round arch and has therefore represented a very important crossroads since ancient times. Originally it also possessed the stone parapets, now missing, about 1 meter high. For centuries the tegliai of the village of Montetiffi crossed the river Uso at this point. They traveled around Romagna with their mules to sell the typical terracotta pans on which the piadina was cooked. But, to move between Montetiffi and Montefeltro in the nineteenth century, there were also brigands, gunpowder smugglers and, in the following century, smugglers of tobacco and liquor from San Marino. The Romanesque bridge, therefore, in addition to having a historical and artistic value, is today a symbol of the human events that took place in the Upper Valle dell’Uso, when the provincial road still did not reach these areas and people lived on more or less legitimate crafts and trade.
