It is illuminated and has some stopping points surrounded by the green of nature. The Pianazzo Waterfall, with its 180 meters of drop, is the highest waterfall in the valley, which is also fed by the waters of the Scalcoggia stream. The Acquafraggia waterfalls (or Acqua Fraggia) are located in Borgonuovo and the parts visible from the road are the most suggestive, but not the only ones. The Acquafraggia basin is located at the western entrance to the Val Bregaglia. The stream of the same name originates from Pizzo di Lago at 3,050 meters above sea level, in an Alpine watershed from which rivers descend and flow into the North Sea, the Black Sea and the Mediterranean. Descending towards the valley floor, the stream runs through two suspended valleys, both of glacial origin, one at an altitude of two thousand and the other at a thousand meters above sea level. During its course, the Acquafraggia stream forms a series of waterfalls. These, the ones further down, are the most suggestive thanks to their double jump. In fact, the name Acquafraggia comes from the Latin "aqua fracta", indicating a stream continuously interrupted by waterfalls.

Truzzo lake is a suggestive mirror of crystalline water located at the foot of Pizzo Forato and Pizzo Quadro. It rises in the Drogo valley, a side valley to the Valchiavenna, at an altitude of 2,080 meters above sea level. It is a basin of artificial origin created following the construction of the Truzzo dam, completed in 1928.
