Lake San Domenico is not suitable for swimming, the depth is 15/20 meters and it is possible to go on organized scuba diving.

Beautiful artificial body of water near Villalago, less known than nearby Lake Scanno, but still worth a visit.

This place is a splendid oasis of tranquility, where the cave is located which was the first modest refuge of the hermit Pietro da Morrone, located on the slopes of the homonymous mountain. You can reach the hermitage through stairs carved into the rock. The climb itself is not too demanding given the modest difference in altitude. However, if the climb is still too tiring, you can travel most of the way by car and park a few meters from the hermitage.
