The Grande Porta del Pollino, at about 1,900 meters above sea level, represents the entrance area to Piani del Pollino (Piana del Pollino), which can be reached from Lake Duglia (location near Terranova del Pollino). The Grande Porta del Pollino is clearly visible if you reach the summit of Monte Pollino or that of Serra del Prete and look in the direction that coincides between the Serra di Crispo and the Serra delle Ciavole.

Beautiful narrow canyon. You think you reached the bottom of the gorge but the view from the bridge is amazing! Try to make the round trip (the path is a bit overgrown and steep but the views on the way up are worth it). It starts on the right when returning from the bridge.
