취리히 호수‬에서 가장 멋진 ‪9‬개의 천연기념물

Most people just walk past, but the fountain is worth a second look

One of the many beautiful fountains in Zurich

Wonderful view and a somewhat bizarre combination of water and plants. Unfortunately it was very rainy when I was there, which had its own charm: more water than anything else 😃

Like two honeycombs, consisting of hexagonal cells in which the bee offspring are raised and honey and pollen are stored, these two water creations are placed centrally and surrounded by flowers. There is also a monument to Gottfried Keller, located to the side. And it is a real pleasure to sit here in this relaxation circle, watch the walkers, the play of the clouds on the water surface, just to be here...

Here the path takes you through a nature reserve. It is wonderfully green, offers you colorful flora and a fantastic view of the lake...

The mosaic fountain at General-Guisan-Quai / Beethovenstrasse at the entrance to the arboretum was formerly called Brunnen am Alpenquai and is also known as Bluntschlibrunnen. It was created by the architect of the same name, Bluntschli, who designed many other fountains in addition to the Enge church. The monumental fountain created in 1909 is adapted to the forms of the Italian early Renaissance. The rear wall with mosaic inlays and domed roof is striking. In 1959, the spring water well was connected to the drinking water distribution network and was slightly renovated for the last time in 1977.
