This elephant-shaped sculpture stands on the edge of town, not far from the lake shore. It's a steep rock formation resembling a baby elephant. The rock face drops approximately 50 meters into the lake.

From the car park at the Rütenen sunbathing lawn, it's about a 15-minute walk to the dinosaur rock and climbing garden 🧗‍♂️. Around 120 m high limestone slab directly on the shore of Lake Lucerne about 3 km east of the Beckenried boat station. 8 routes from 4th to 7th difficulty levels are fully equipped. The plate is hardly exposed to sunlight in winter and is therefore particularly recommended in the summer months.

The section of the Axenstrasse from Sisikon to Flüelen always offers fantastic views of the lake. This section is currently still passable for bicycles, on cycle paths that are often separated from the car lane; the section from Brunnen to Sisikon is currently closed to bicycles!! (Bus replacement service, but only a few bikes every hour...)

Just incredibly beautiful. It's best to come down from above because the spectacle becomes more and more spectacular and beautiful. The place shouldn't be too well known...we were there all alone... So if you're near Beckenried or Emmetten... head to the Risleten waterfall 👌👍
