The spring flows directly below the hiking trail into the river, where the water is always clear.

One of the most beautiful places in Epirus. Since you are in the national park, please be respectful of nature. It is worth dipping your feet in the water. But be careful: the water of the Voidomatis is ice cold. My recommendation: definitely take the hiking trail through the gorge. You walk along the river and can enjoy nature and breathtaking views.

Have a look in the water for salamanders!

If you like cold water, this is a great place for a dip! The Voidomatis River is exceptionally cold as it originates from underground springs in the Vikos-Aoos National Park, high in the Pindus Mountains. These springs are fed by the melting snow and ice from the surrounding peaks. The surrounding trees keep it icy throughout the year. The Voidomatis is known for its crystal-clear, cold waters, peaceful nature and historic bridges.

The Kleidonia Stone Bridge dates back to the 18th century. The bridge, with its stunning stone arches and the Kalarrytikos River flowing beneath, is surrounded by lush nature. Historically, this bridge played a vital role in local transportation. Today, it stands as a testament to craftsmanship. Parking is available next to a restaurant and you then follow the river to the bridge.

Very cold, but for the intrepid, it invites you to take a fresh dip, a great way to cool down after a hike!
