The Gantrischseeli 🌊 in the Gantrisch Nature Park is an idyllic mountain lake at an altitude of 1,570 meters. The starting point of the hike is usually the Gantrischhütte, which can be reached in 1 to 1.5 hours. The path leads through meadows and forests 🌿. Perfect for a picnic and relaxing. Family-friendly and particularly beautiful in summer and autumn.

View from Fuchses Schwyberg to Schwarzsee and towards Kaiseregg

The marking is on the highest point of the Fuchses Schwyberg. Schwyberg is just the umbrella term for the entire range of hills from Plaffeien to Schwarzsee. The highest point of the Schwyberg (entire range of hills) is above Plaffeien near the Alp Gross Schwyberg at 1645m. The Schwarzsee is the highest point of Schwyberg at 1620m. The correct name would be Fuchses Schwyberg. If you go to the Fuchses Schwyberg in Schwarzsee, you usually only need the short form Schwyberg instead of Fuchses Schwyberg. There are a number of other Schwyberg names all over the hill range. E.g. Schatters Schwyberg, Hapferen Schwyberg, Schmutzes Schwyberg, Hooi Schwyberg, Gross Schwyberg, etc

The lake tour can also be perfectly extended with the tour around the Rohrmoos. At the Gypsera car park, walk up the street next to the SchwarzseeStärn restaurant, where you have a beautiful view of the lake. At Schlossisboden then back down in the direction of the Burstera residential area, then the tour around the Rohrmoos and along the hiking trail along the Sense back to the Gypsera car park. Very worthwhile additional loop with little hype ;-)
